This is contained in a Presidential Address/ Bishop’s Charge, delivered to the 3rd Session of the 3rd Synod, Diocese of Mbamili, read by Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. He said: “Homosexuality is a very serious global war that must be won by Anglicans, not just in the church but in the secular world because some people who call themselves children of God are beginning to do, ordinarily and humanly speaking, things that should not be done. “Homosexuality is an aberration, it is anti Muktar Galadima, the parcel of land belonging to AIT was only 18 hectres, adding that the media outfit had just submitted application for building approval, which the department was still processing, meaning any development on the land remained a violation of development control rules. It is turning upside down the plan of God for man, that is why the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion is at the forefront of the fight and an organisation in the Anglican Church, called the Global Anglican Future Conference, GAFCON, is championing the fight to make sure that the Western church does not bring in this monster into our religious system. “And so for us in the Diocese of Mbamili, Anambra State, it is a very serious fight, and that is why we have told our clergy men that any one that attempts it, we will do our best to be pastoral at heart, but the person must leave, it shows he is not supposed to be a pastor. “That is why we are saying it here at the synod and some other dioceses in the Anglican Communion, that we are also not taking the aberration lightly. They are taking the same steps because we condemn it wholly and entirely, homosexuality is an enemy of God and the church. “We have identified one here in this diocese and we have dealt with it on its merit by showing the priest the way out, we sent him packing without waste of time, and other have learnt a lot of lessons from that incident.” Umar Shuaibu, who supervised the removal of the alleged illegal structures, said the owners of the television outfit illegally encroached on plots of land belonging to other Nigerians. According to him, the management of AIT had refused to abide by the mutual agreement reached with them, FCT administration and officials from Department of Development Control, DDC, of the AMMC, adding that after the removal of the illegal structures, the media outfit later expanded it without the approval of FCT administration.
