Central Valley Corvettes of Fresno - May 2019

Actually, we did have another event in April and that
was attendance at a celebration of life for our friend
and fellow club member, Del Walker. Our club was
well represented. Del was a part of our Corvette
family and we are all the better for having crossed
paths with him. He will be missed. See all of you at
the May meeting. Save the wave!

General Meeting Minutes 4-16-19
After a moment of silence in remembrance of a CVC
member, the General meeting was called to order
by Dick Danielsen at 6:28 PM. Without further
electrical malfunctions, Dick opened the meeting by
having the minutes read.
Secretary – Kathy Marine read minutes from the
March General meeting. The March minutes were
approved as read. Dave Dukes made a motion to
accept the minutes; Gary Pflepsen seconded the
motion.
Treasurer’s Report - Lynn Henenfent gave the
Treasurer’s report. She also stated $285.00 was
collect in raffle ticket sales which triggered a very
loud applause.
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Ruthie
Danielsen announced birthdays and anniversaries.
Just as Spring sprung and wild flowers bloomed in
April, so did six members’ birthdays. Happy birthdays
to you! When it comes to anniversaries, it’s no
April Fools joke that four couples are still in wedded
bliss and a $25.00 Yosemite gift card was up for
grabs. Since the happy couples must be present to
win, it was a 50/50 chance, Steve and Lydia Garcia
vs. Gary and Jan Pflepsen. It was too close to call ---
Congratulations to the Pflepsen on being lucky
winners of the anniversary gift card draw; and, to
the Garcia’s, Son’s, and Hall’s who share in April
anniversaries. Ruthie went on to present Steve and
Lydia Garcia with a $50.00 gift card for sponsoring
Larry and Janet King who officially became
members. Ruthie also introduced Larry’s and
Janet’s guest, Michael and Jennie King (a brother
and sister-in-law) who own a 2016 Blue corvette
and live in Fresno. Welcome Michael and Jennie!
VP of Activities – Mike Lebda informed the
members of future runs and activities. Each run
leader gave a brief synopsis of their run and
provided members with any updated information.

President Mystery Run – June 6-9 - Dick gave a
review of this “mystery” without giving away any
secrets as he stressed CB radios are required and
no refunds for cancellations after 30-days from
date of departure. Whoa, what a minute, did Dick
just say “desert?” But then Ruthie said
“mountains?” Ummm…
Cars in the Park Dinuba Car Show – June 8 -
Members are strongly encouraged to participate to
show support for Ed Dena and his sponsorship of
our club.
