Norman and Mark Crow are fifth and sixth<br />
generation farmers whos pioneering<br />
family came to California in 1849 from<br />
Missouri in search of lush, fertile soil to<br />
farm. The family settled near Orestimba<br />
Creek and the San Joaquin River where<br />
the Crows grew wheat and barley and<br />
installed a ferry landing in what is known<br />
as Crows Landing.<br />
In 1865 the Crows planted walnut trees<br />
from seeds they brought with them from<br />
Missouri.<br />
