Göttweig Abbey in Krems has no shortage of splendour. A breathtaking ceiling fresco by Austrian<br />
artist Paul Troger towers above the Imperial Wing’s grand staircase and the library is filled with 130,000<br />
volumes. In addition to the impressive collection of books and manuscripts, the abbey houses a number<br />
of antiques and rare coins. The abbey’s graphic art collection — composed of French, Dutch and English<br />
masterpieces — includes more than 30,000 engravings, making it the largest private graphic art holding<br />
in Austria.<br />
