2019
On top of the
They came, they saw, they sparkled. The area’s
finest wedding suppliers were out in force at the
Crowne Plaza in Plymouth earlier this year for the
glittering spectacle that is the South West
Wedding Awards.
A gala dinner was followed by the presentation of the
‘Wedding Oscars’ by Heart FM’s Matt and Victoria, before
the evening was rounded off in exuberant style to music
by live band Keiko Rise and Chance2Dance Disco.
The awards are the UK’s oldest and most prestigious
regional wedding awards, allowing the people who
provide outstanding service for their brides to step out of
the background into the limelight for one night a year.
New organiser Tina Heron said: ‘The awards recognise
Sponsored by
dream
wEDDINGS
magazine since 2007
those suppliers who pull out every stop to give their
brides the wedding of their dreams and it’s great to give
them the opportunity to let their hair down once a year.’
Dream Weddings magazine has sponsored the awards
ever since they began 11 years ago and has watched
them grow every year both in stature and in numbers
of entries.
Editor Julia Snow said: ‘Wedding suppliers are the
unsung heroes of every wedding. Their boundless
enthusiasm and commitment to every bride deserves
to be celebrated and we’re proud to be part of
that celebration.’
If you want to be among next year’s winners, visit the
website at www.wedding-awards.co.uk.
It could be YOU in 2020!
The search for the 2020 winners of the South West Wedding Awards has
already begun and there’s an even better chance of ending up with a trophy.
Some of the winners from previous years have become sponsors for next
year, so you won’t have them to beat!
It’s easy to enter and it’s completely free. All you have to do is encourage your
brides to vote for you if they think that you offered outstanding service for
their wedding. The competition has been carefully thought out so that both
larger and smaller companies can be judged on an equal footing. National
chains are prohibited from entering and finalists are chosen purely on the
results of votes by brides.
There’s a trophy, of course, for the winners in each category, but perhaps
more importantly, there’s also the kudos and prestige of being able to display
the finalist and/or winner’s logo in your marketing.
Closing date is November 1st 2019.
