General Meeting Minutes 6-18-19
The June General meeting was called to order by
Dick Danielsen at 6:30 PM. Dick opened the meeting
by having the minutes read.
Secretary – Kathy Marine read minutes from the
May General meeting. The May minutes were
approved. Charlotte made a motion to accept the
minutes as read; Linda seconded the motion.
Treasurer’s Report - Lynn Henenfent gave the
Treasurer’s report. She also stated $225.00 was
collected in raffle ticket sales which incited a loud
round of applause. Despite a slightly smaller
meeting attendance, Freida still managed to
maximize raffle ticket sales. Keep up the good work
Frieda!
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Ruthie
Danielsen announced 3 birthdays and 3
anniversaries for June. Since Gail Tavares was the
only June birthday in attendance, she experienced a
grand serenade as the members sang “happy
birthday” to her. In celebration of 53 years of
married devotion, and luck of
the draw, Mike and Mary Lou
Lebda were the winners of a
$25.00 Yosemite gift card.

Ruthie stated that the CVC website is generating
some interest from potential new members. She
has encouraged those that have contacted her to
attend a meeting. Ruthie also reminded members
to sign-in on the attendance sheet each meeting.
VP of Activities – Mike Lebda informed the
members of upcoming runs and activities. Each run
leader gave a brief synopsis of their run and
provided members with any updated information.
New runs are being planned. Sign-up sheets are
available at meetings. Be sure to check
Run/Activity Schedule published in the newsletter
for planned runs or contact run leaders with any
questions regarding their run. As a follow-up to
recently held runs, each run leader reflected on the
highlights for members’ enjoyment.
Dick Danielsen described his June 6-9 President
Mystery Run. He apparently was very successful in
keeping the “mystery” and deceiving the run
participates on their destination which included a
stop at the Western Film Museum in Lone Pine, a
scenic drive along Hwy 395 to Bishop, a visit to the
Owens Valley Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center,
then onto the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City
where some tried their luck during their stay. While
in Carson City, participants hopped aboard the
Virginia and Truckee Railroad train for a day ride to
Virginia City and back. Patricia Garrison tried her
luck and was the winner at guessing the total run
mileage of 789 miles (Dick registered 790 miles).
Great guessing Patricia! There were numerous
comments by run participates stating this was a
spectacular trip. Thank you to Dick, Ruthie, Chuck,
and Linda. Charlie Fosnaugh regularly plans a
Movie Night each month at the Mayas Cinema
