12 to watch Rocketman; a movie worth seeing<br />
about Elton John’s life and music career.<br />
Larry and Janet King had a good size group attend a<br />
tour <strong>of</strong> their car collection on June 15. In Larry’s<br />
words, the group “went to a couple old buildings to<br />
see some old cars. <strong>Corvettes</strong> got dirty but had fun.<br />
Then drove to Triangle Burger and ate some good<br />
food.” This was Larry’s and Janet’s first time in<br />
planning a Corvette run and did a great job!<br />
Old Business: Dick queried the floor for any old<br />
business discussion. None was <strong>of</strong>fered.<br />
New Business: Dick announced that Andy Anderson<br />
has stepped down from Parliamentarian duties.<br />
Charlotte Renna has accepted the Parliamentarian<br />
position. Charlotte has also taken on the<br />
responsibility <strong>of</strong> suppling “goodies” at each meeting.<br />
Dick also informed the club that a Nomination<br />
Committee will be established in August in<br />
preparation for the 2020 Board members’<br />
nominations and voting later this year. Lynn brought<br />
in a few non-personalized CVC clothing items up for<br />
sale that were donated by a previous club member if<br />
anyone was interested. Dick queried the floor for any<br />
additional new business. None was <strong>of</strong>fered.<br />
Sunshine and Clouds: Linda Laningham has an<br />
inquiring mind as a lot <strong>of</strong> us do. She visited each<br />
table to extract life happenings and events from<br />
members. Linda does have a knack <strong>of</strong> getting<br />
people to talk.<br />
Sergeant-<strong>of</strong>-Arms: Chuck Laningham earned his<br />
nick-name – “two buck Chuck” as he routinely<br />
collects $2.00 in badge fines. Wear the badge or<br />
pay the fine!<br />
Next General Meeting: To be held at Yosemite<br />
Falls Café, <strong>July</strong> 16, <strong>2019</strong>, at 6:30 PM.<br />
Next Board Meeting: To be held at Danielsen’s<br />
home, <strong>July</strong> 23, <strong>2019</strong>, at 7:00 PM. Members are<br />
welcome to attend Board meetings. Please inform<br />
Club President <strong>of</strong> your attendance.<br />
General Meeting Adjourned: Tom Piercy made a<br />
motion to adjourn meeting at 7:23 PM. Frieda Nulls<br />
seconded the motion.<br />
