journey! We will be having weekly meetings,<br />

going on adventurous pilgrimages. So come<br />
along for a cup o’ tea (with one-biscuit-only<br />

same? Hasn’t science proved religion is just<br />
a fairy-tale? The Christian Union exists to<br />
answer these questions and many more!<br />
We’ll be running events throughout the<br />
year, as well as during Fresher’s week, to<br />
see how Christianity addresses life’s big<br />
questions. We’d love to see you there and<br />

Cineclub organizes weekly screenings<br />
where members can watch, debate and<br />
enjoy films in a communal atmosphere.<br />
Besides the weekly screenings we will be<br />
organising other events - visits to the cinema,<br />
pub crawls, collaborations with other<br />
societies and going to film related events.<br />

Now you’ve run away from home, it’s<br />
clearly time to join the circus! Want to learn<br />
to juggle? Get into aerials? Play with poi<br />
and diabolo? No experience necessary!<br />
Come and have a go at anything you’ve<br />
ever fancied! Learn new skills and have fun!<br />
(Shh.. Don’t tell anyone but we do play with<br />

Civil Engineering Society (CES)<br />
Members will benefit from links that CES<br />
creates with professional institutions,<br />
engineering companies and the community.<br />
CES also hopes to be a platform where<br />
ideas and student experiences can be<br />
shared. Join us to benefit from both social<br />
and learning opportunities with students who<br />
share similar interests.<br />
Comedy Society<br />
Bringing laughter to the Granite City; open<br />
to everyone and anyone regardless of<br />
experience! With a workshop or show every<br />
week, we aim to give you the skills and the<br />
opportunities to get an audience laughing -<br />
whether it’s stand up, improv or sketch. We<br />
run regular shows, letting you test out and<br />
perfect material, get stage confidence, and<br />
most importantly, have a good time - after<br />
all, you’re spending time with comedians,<br />
and we’re a funny bunch. We also host<br />
socials throughout the year, and get involved<br />
in other events throughout the university.<br />

Commercial Law Society (AUCLS)<br />
The AUCLS is the first law society at the<br />
University of Aberdeen fully focused on<br />
careers in the commercial world. We are<br />
unique in that our membership is open<br />
to any student of any discipline at the<br />
university, the reason being that nearly half<br />
