Did you know that the Polish Constitution
was the first in Europe and the second in the
world? Have you ever heard of Nicolaus
been the President of the European Council
since 2014, is Polish? Did you know that
Poland is home to the largest castle in
the world? If not, PolSoc is something for
you! PolSoc is an organisation that unites
students interested in Polish language,
culture, economy, and history. Our goals
are to promote Poland, represent its students
in Aberdeen and cooperate with other
societies and Polish organisations. We
organise lots of different events such as
social meetings, cooking workshops, tours,
national holidays’ celebrations, and many
more. If you have any queries contact
Politics & International
Relations Society (PIR)
AUSA Politics and International Relations
Society is a student based society. Over the
past few years we have organised many
diverse events ranging from political debates
to lectures and talks with a great variety of
guest speakers. Additionally, we organise
international politically focused trips.
Whether you are a politics student or not,
joining the society is a great way to meet
and interact with people who, among other
things, have interest in how the world is run
and know to always make time for some
relaxed fun with the PIR family. Get involved!
Pool Society
We aim to create a friendly environment
where anyone can socialize, play pool
and take a break from their studies. We are
a small community consisting of pool and
snooker players at all levels, and welcome
everyone from first timers to professionals.
We have regular events throughout the
academic year accommodating for many
different interests. One big hit has been
the North East Scotland University Pool
Tournament and let’s not forget our famous
pub crawls. If this sounds like a society
for you, come have a chat with us at the
