Polish Society (POLSOC)<br />

world? Have you ever heard of Nicolaus<br />
Copernicus and Pope St John Paul II? Did<br />
you know that there are as many as 15<br />
UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Poland?<br />
Did you know that Donald Tusk, who has<br />
been the President of the European Council<br />
since <strong>20</strong>14, is Polish? Did you know that<br />
Poland is home to the largest castle in<br />
the world? If not, PolSoc is something for<br />
you! PolSoc is an organisation that unites<br />
students interested in Polish language,<br />
culture, economy, and history. Our goals<br />
are to promote Poland, represent its students<br />
in Aberdeen and cooperate with other<br />
societies and Polish organisations. We<br />
organise lots of different events such as<br />
social meetings, cooking workshops, tours,<br />
national holidays’ celebrations, and many<br />

AUSA Politics and International Relations<br />
Society is a student based society. Over the<br />
past few years we have organised many<br />
diverse events ranging from political debates<br />
to lectures and talks with a great variety of<br />
guest speakers. Additionally, we organise<br />
international politically focused trips.<br />
Whether you are a politics student or not,<br />
joining the society is a great way to meet<br />
and interact with people who, among other<br />
things, have interest in how the world is run<br />
and know to always make time for some<br />
relaxed fun with the PIR family. Get involved!<br />
Pool Society<br />
We aim to create a friendly environment<br />
where anyone can socialize, play pool<br />
and take a break from their studies. We are<br />
a small community consisting of pool and<br />
snooker players at all levels, and welcome<br />
everyone from first timers to professionals.<br />
We have regular events throughout the<br />
academic year accommodating for many<br />
different interests. One big hit has been<br />
the North East Scotland University Pool<br />
Tournament and let’s not forget our famous<br />
