Benidorm

No destination offers more versatility than
Benidorm. There really is something for the whole
family – whether you’re taking the kids to swim
with dolphins at Mundomar, absorbing the many
fine examples of Moorish architecture or pausing to
enjoy traditional Spanish cuisine.
The Benidorm skyline is one of the most
easily recognisable in Spain for many of us. Its
modern metropolitan feel gives way to beautiful
mountainous regions and glorious beaches,
perfect for taking a day trip out of the centre – try
parasailing, head out to the Algar Waterfalls or visit
Valencia.
But first, take some time to explore what’s right
on your doorstep. Benidorm is known for its
family-friendly attractions, with waterparks like
Aqualandia and Aqua Natura boasting a variety
of thrilling slides, wave pools and splash zones for
the little ones. The brand new Cyclon at Aqualandia
stands at a whopping 200 metres high – a must-ride
during your trip.
Head inland to find the Terra Mitica theme park:
the ideal family day out. The park offers a range of
rollercoasters, thrill rides and smaller attractions
for younger children too, combining typical theme
park elements with plenty of summer fun. Fear
not, the park isn’t just for adrenaline junkies; you’ll
find a spa area equipped with Jacuzzis and a huge
swimming pool, plus breath-taking performances
in themed areas throughout the day.
