Starting in the <strong>Territory</strong> as a small taxi truck<br />
service in 1978, family-owned business<br />
<strong>Darwin</strong> Container Services (DCS) has grown<br />
to provide specialised logistics services<br />
across the Top End <strong>and</strong> Australia with a focus<br />
on container services, storage, wharehousing<br />
<strong>and</strong> focusing on over-dimensional<br />
specialised freight.<br />
Owners Peter <strong>and</strong> Estelle Cornell raised<br />
son <strong>and</strong> now Managing Director, Christian<br />
Cornell within the transport <strong>and</strong> logistics<br />
industry, giving him the foundation to<br />
achieve his goals in life while doing what<br />
he loves. With a Certificate 3 in Mobile<br />
Plant Technology <strong>and</strong> a variety of licences,<br />
Christian can drive, operate <strong>and</strong> fix almost<br />
any vehicle <strong>and</strong> loves the variety <strong>and</strong><br />
opportunities that come from working<br />
within the Top End <strong>and</strong> Australia wide.<br />
A “can-do” attitude has seen DCS overcome<br />
a range of logistic challenges throughout<br />
their operations, distinguishing themselves<br />
as recognised problem-solvers within the<br />
industry, Christian <strong>and</strong> his busy motivated<br />
team take pride <strong>and</strong> care in all they do.<br />
DCS welcome challenging <strong>and</strong> unusual<br />
work <strong>and</strong> are the obvious choice for many<br />
major companies in both Australia <strong>and</strong><br />
overseas. With a large fleet <strong>and</strong> range of<br />
services available, DCS can do anything from<br />
relocating houses to installing ATM’s <strong>and</strong><br />
safes of all shapes <strong>and</strong> sizes across Australia.<br />
Over the years, projects have taken DCS far<br />
<strong>and</strong> wide; including relocating F18s, yachts,<br />
complete houses, sheds, supporting many<br />
of the World Solo Car races <strong>and</strong> helping to<br />
create whole new suburbs.<br />
