A super cute little cut and sew<br />
project to add a homemade festive<br />
feel to your home! The panels and<br />
backing fabric is included in this class with your<br />
choice of Advent from the shop. which are from our<br />
latest collection, they are super simple to make.<br />
This project is aimed at all levels, but you will need<br />
to know how to use a sewing machine and be able to sew in a straight<br />
line in order to attend.<br />
Quirky Birds at Oh Sew Sweet with Gillian Travis £55<br />
Date: Saturday 30 th November 10.00 am – 4.00 pm<br />
We are super excited to welcome Gillian a wellknown<br />
Textile Artis to Oh Sew Sweet. The first<br />
quilt in her recent series started following studies<br />
of Polish Folk Costume and Polish toys. It then<br />
progressed to on to making Storks, Emu and<br />
Curlew inspired quilts as seen on the sample in the shop. The blocks are<br />
made using a “quilt as you go” method using easily made thin sashing to<br />
join the blocks Patterns for guinea fowl, storks, curlew and emus will be<br />
available, however you may like to design your own bird patterns. This<br />
class involves, how to: -<br />
- join the strip together<br />
- quilt as you go<br />
- make the sashing and how to apply it<br />
- make your own pattern for the birds or animals<br />
- select fabrics to choose from a photo using your ipad<br />
- bind and finish the quilt, - how to free machine stitch around the birds<br />
or animal.<br />
