Counting to Calculate<br />
Being able to count quickly and<br />
effectively, as well as being a<br />
fundamental maths & life skill in<br />
itself, underpins understanding of the<br />
amounts that numbers represent and<br />
thus place value and calculation of<br />
numbers.<br />
1. COUNTING KINGDOMS<br />
How many gold coins are in the kingdom of the<br />
pirates, wizard, merpeople or dragon? Take any of<br />
the four Counting Kingdom boards and be the first<br />
to count the correct total to win that card. The total<br />
number of each object in every kingdom varies,<br />
but is always within 10. For a harder counting<br />
challenge, simply turn over more than one card at a<br />
time and count the total. Set includes:<br />

2. COUNTING ON BUSES<br />
Help your passengers travel from one bus to the<br />
next, by counting them on or back along parts<br />
of a 100 square. The 4 included boards depict<br />
number ranges from 1-30, 31-60, 51-80 and 81-110<br />
enabling pupils with varying maths abilities to play<br />
this game together. Simply spin the 0-10 spinner<br />
and move the required number of spaces. For a<br />
harder challenge, say the number you will land on<br />
before counting to check. A fun way to learn about<br />
number patterns and counting to calculate. Set<br />
