100Proof is the National marketing arm of three
great family wholesalers, Liquid Mix, Paramount
Liquor and Liquid Specialty Beverages.
Our mission is to develop programs to support our
customers from events, training and education
through to category Essentials programs. The rewards
linked to these deliver simple but essential tools of
the trade and relevant point of sale to ensure quality
service and visibility of this highly profitable category.
Our talented team of wine specialists have compiled
a comprehensive program featuring a curated wine
list that is linked to rewards and services unique
to you as a valued customer. Optimising your wine
list and growing the share of wine in your venue
is our priority. The team are also available to assist
with your list development, staff training and
education with the sole purpose to help deliver
a memorable experience for your customers.
In this edition we highlight key occasions such
as wines for spring carnival through to the festive
season. For us this is not just about how we support
you in the optimal mix of sparkling wines and
champagnes, but also what’s great to have with your
summer menu’s such as Mediterranean style wines
served with seafood and tapas.
We all recognise Rosé is continuing to grow at over
four times our other main wine categories. In this
edition we have increased the selection but added
a little twist by including some great lighter style reds
that can also be chilled for those hot summer days!

When it comes to food and wine pairing, I live by the old
adage ‘Chicken + Chardonnay = Yum!’ Leaner, minerally
styles match perfectly with chicken terrine and Caesar
salads. Lightly oaked, Chardonnays are perfect with
poached breast & butter sauce or even mild chicken
curries. For mature, barrel fermented Chardonnays
its rotisserie chicken with barbecued mushrooms.

For me Summer is all about Rosé and great food!
Although, I have found myself turning to a glass of blush
during the chilly months too!
My go to can be as simple as fresh bruschetta with
tomato, olive oil and feta. Alternatively, I love to have
share platters of sashimi with friends.
In the sunshine, a glass of Grenache Rosé is a must,
or even a glass of a lighter style chilled red. Simply
stunning, chilled reds is a category that has not yet been
discovered in Melbourne by many. So why not try it!

Food and wine for me is a combination of complimentary
flavours, contrasting textures and cutting through bold
and strong elements in a dish. While we focus on protein,
it can’t always be that simple. Take beef for example:
A well seasoned carpaccio is delicious with a light red,
such as Pinot Noir or Joven Tempranillo. Grilled T-Bone
Steak is a delight with a peppery Shiraz or a dark and
broody Sangiovese. Braised beef dishes like stews or
even a veal osso bucco are a revelation with Cabernet
Blends. Same protein, three different wines.

My perfect day would be a long brunch with quality cava,
it has been one of the world’s great sparkling secrets.
Entrees early evening with a blanc de blanc or a fresh
sparkling brut style a timeless pairing with oysters,
or sushi & scallops. A slightly meatier pairing of salmon,
duck or pork would be the mains paired with a brut
rosé or blanc de noir.
And to finish a vintage rosé, with a clean line of acidity
alongside some petits fours.

Did you know?
Most of the rest of the world refer to it by its French moniker - Syrah – which
has created a bit of a mystery as to how this split came about. However, most
wine historians agree that Shiraz is the older of the two names, possibly
referring to the ancient capital of the Persian empire (Shiraz).

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
• Wine Essentials Program is only available
to on-premise venues and is offered for
a commitment to pour/list the selected wines
for a minimum period of 6 months from the
signature date.
• Wines within the program can be changed
by the venue from the selected range over
the commitment period.
• The 100Proof Boutique POS items will
be offered at the commencement of the
program based on the continuance
of supply of the selected wines through
the designated wholesaler.
• POS items will only be dispatched once
an order has been placed on each of the
wines (pouring or listing) that have been
committed to. This list of POS items may
change over the period of the promotion.
• All prices shall be those referred to in the
Company’s price lists, prepared quotes
and/or specific arrangements and shall
be subject to change via one month’s notice.
• All discounts that are provided by 100Proof
suppliers are subject to change via one
month’s notice. The additional pouring
discounts are not available to supplier
contracted venues and are subject to the
standard terms of conditions of the
wholesaler partners.
• The selected pour and wine list products
must only be supplied to the venue through
a designated 100Proof wholesaler.
• If venues do not pour or list any of the
selected products for any period during this
agreement’s timeframe, then the agreement
may be cancelled. Property and all the goods
supplied shall remain vested in 100Proof
and shall not pass to the Customer until
the period has been completed in full.
• Any unused points from this promotion will
expire on the 1st of April 2020. 100Proof may
demand at any time, until title has passed
to the Customer, that the Customer returns
the goods or any part of them.
• The agreement can be revised or cancelled
by either party subject to one month’s
notice period.
• Points cannot be redeemed for cash
or discounts.
