play development, classroom visits by master artists, <strong>and</strong> public lectures by<br />

basis. An uproarious <strong>and</strong> often unpredictable evening of drama <strong>and</strong> comedy, as<br />

presented by first-time student directors as a part of the requirements for Tha403,<br />

Directing <strong>and</strong> Stage Management.<br />

For the enjoyment of our patrons <strong>and</strong> the comfort of<br />

our cast <strong>and</strong> crew, we do not allow children six years of<br />

age <strong>and</strong> younger to attend theatre productions.<br />

Tickets go on sale three weeks prior to opening night<br />

for <strong>BSC</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> Alliance members <strong>and</strong> two weeks prior<br />

to opening night for the general public. The College<br />

Theatre Box Office is open during these weeks<br />

with regular hours of Monday through Friday from<br />

1 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. The Box Office can be reached<br />

Ticket prices are as follows: $20 for Falsettos <strong>and</strong> Lizzie;<br />

$15 for Silent Sky; <strong>and</strong> $10 for The Complete Works of<br />

Regardless of which school students attend, student ticket<br />

prices are $10 no matter which production they choose.<br />

Dr. Jeff Kensmoe, baritone, <strong>and</strong> Dr. Virginia Dismukes, piano,<br />

will present Franz Schubert’s monumental song cycle, which<br />

recounts a young man’s psychological journey as he attempts<br />

to cope with rejection.<br />

Dr. Sherry Ford is professor of communication<br />

studies at the University of Montevallo, where<br />

nonverbal communication, conflict management,<br />

<strong>and</strong> interpersonal communication.<br />

DAVID TRONZO & KIM PERLAK, ACOUSTIC &<br />

ELECTRIC GUITAR<br />

Tronzo <strong>and</strong> Perlak are renowned faculty members at Berklee<br />

College of Music in Boston <strong>and</strong> are renowned for their mastery of<br />

both acoustic <strong>and</strong> electric guitar techniques. They will conduct a<br />

master class with students in addition to the recital during their visit.<br />

SYMPHONIC & JAZZ BANDS FALL CONCERT<br />

Conducted by Dr. David Phy, the Symphonic B<strong>and</strong> will perform a<br />

Prism-Style Concert that will focus on smaller chamber pieces.<br />

<strong>BSC</strong>’s Opera Workshop will perform two of Seymour Barab’s most beloved operas for young people.<br />

The company will travel <strong>and</strong> perform throughout the local community on February 27th <strong>and</strong> 28th<br />

then on the <strong>BSC</strong> campus on February 29.<br />

Hesla, professor of piano at the University of Montana, is highly regarded for his ability to<br />

from around the globe <strong>and</strong> across the centuries. The program features pieces by Scarlatti, Liszt,<br />

Chopin, Debussy, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, <strong>and</strong> Gershwin.<br />

Needs to Know About the Body. He is an active performer, recitalist, <strong>and</strong> director of<br />

the Peach State Opera Touring Company. He will direct a workshop about Body<br />

Mapping <strong>and</strong> its fundamental application for performers.<br />

STRAVINSKY’S MASS<br />

The <strong>BSC</strong> Concert Choir presents a program highlighted by Igor<br />

Stravinsky’s work for choir <strong>and</strong> winds. Inspired by Mozart’s great<br />

Masses, this work from the 1940s was composed at the height<br />

of Stravinsky’s mature compositional period.<br />

HILLTOP SINGERS SEASON FINALE<br />

The icing on the cake of the spring term is always the Singers’<br />

closing performance of the year!<br />
