Another Filipino–Australian housing coop rises!
The Sedgwick Housing Cooperative at Leumeah is the first to be registered in the past 15 years and marks a
mammoth achievement after a year of preparation between the tenants and staff at CENSW.
Ian Sinnett, CEO, says, “This is an incredible achievement that marks the growth and new vitality in the sector.
Besides establishing Sedgwick Housing Cooperative, we are preparing other groups for registration with the
Registrar of Cooperatives this year and our existing cooperatives are also growing in size.”
The President of the Co-operative is leading the preparation for a celebration in June to mark this achievement.
He says, “This has been a busy few months and the product of members’ hard work with the guidance of
CENSW staff.” Sedgwick Housing Cooperative is now the 33rd coop to participate in the CENSW scheme.
