For this special event, The Sydney Art Quartet
will be showcasing Pulitzer Prize-winning
composer Steve Reich who was recently
called “…the most original musical thinker of our
time” (The New Yorker) and “…among the great
composers of the century”
(New York Times).
His instantly recognizable musical language
combines rigorous structures with propulsive
rhythms and seductive instrumental colour
which will be combined with an oversized
cinema installation and the professional debut
of a very special Jewish singer.
Artistic Director James Beck
The Sydney Art
Quartet is a virtuosic
quartet that weaves
together ancient and
contemporary stories,
touching multiple
senses and cultures
to give audience
memories that live
long after the last
note has died.
