The development of online software has seen a shift from desktop products such as Sage to modern, intuitive online products such as Xero and Quickbooks. Xero has a credit control function and can send out automatic chaser emails for unpaid invoices. 5. Access anywhere, anytime - Unlike desktop accounting packages, Xero can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. So when you need those numbers fast, they’re always available. In addition to these features, Xero is fully compliant with Making Tax Digital and therefore submitting your VAT return via the software ensures that you are staying on top of the changes being introduced by HMRC.
