SOCIAL SKILLS
Participants will learn and develop a variety of social skills.
Specific topics such as overcoming difficult situations,
choosing quality friends, making right choices, building
confidence and developing character will be covered through
role-playing, discussions and relationship building games.

Making Right Choices
ETIQUETTE
Students will learn to respectfully interact with peers and
adults, introduce themselves, take care of their belongings,
help at home and practice dining skills through role-playing
games and questions/answers from real life situations. At
the end of the session, children will be invited to a “Play
Restaurant” where they will be served by their peers. Materials
included. No class on 10/31.

PROBLEM SOLVING CHALLENGE
How do we teach kids to solve problems independently? Problem
Solving Challenge is a comprehensive program designed to help
kids grow their mind and develop logical thinking, persistence
and creative skills. This program includes timed hands-on STEAM
challenges which groups have to solve on the spot. Students will
build structures using simple materials, create improv skits and
solve “life puzzles,” as well as learn to create strategies, lead their
team, make decisions and overcome barriers.

SAFE@HOME
Safe Sitter’s Safe@Home program provides important safety
training that will help participants to prepare to stay home
alone. Parents, it will be up to you to decide if your child
is ready to stay home alone based on their age, maturity,
skills, experience and confidence level of your child. Students
will learn how to practice safe habits and handle common
household emergencies. Participants will leave with a student
booklet to help guide them at home.

TWEENS & TEENS
SAFE SITTER® ESSENTIALS WITH CPR
Safe Sitter® is a nationally recognized, medically-accurate
program designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be
safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or
babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills, such as how to
rescue someone who is choking and helpful information like
what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled
with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even
get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR and choking rescues!
Parents, join us for a brief graduation ceremony at 3:15 p.m.
Students must bring a non-refrigerated lunch.
