Hockey Tournament, played in Melbourne,<br />
Victoria 1 – 14 July.<br />

It was the first time since 1993 that SA brought home<br />
the gold medal for the National 18 and under Ice Hockey<br />
Tournament. This tournament was held in Melbourne over<br />
the July school holidays and both my brother and I played<br />
together representing SA. Last year, we came home with<br />
silver and were determined to be better. We trained hard in<br />
the months leading up to the tournament. Our team arrived<br />
and we won all games in the round robin and went into the<br />
finals undefeated and on the top of the ladder. We played a<br />
very exciting game against Victoria and won in overtime.<br />
