WELCOME
to Boulder Junction
Boulder Junction is a year round vacation destination.
If you love swimming and boating, June, July and August are ideal times to visit.
Warm temperatures and sunny skies make for perfect summer days on the water.
Fall leaves are a big draw—peak colors usually arrive in Boulder Junction from
late-September to early October. Crisp air and color everywhere make this one of
the most spectacular seasons in the Northwoods.
The snow season typically runs from December-March and is a winter enthusiasts
dream. Breathtaking beauty surrounds after a fresh snowfall when area trails are
groomed for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Spring arrives in late April, and the forests come to life throughout May and early
June, so it’s an excellent time to enjoy early wildflowers and view migratory birds.
During any time of the year, be sure to look up at night. The open sky and lack of
light pollution is a perfect mix for stargazing. On rare occasions, you may catch the
magic of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, as seen on the cover of this guide.
Make your vacation Boulder—let us help you book your vacation today. Visit
boulderjct.org before you arrive or give us call at the Boulder Junction Chamber of
Commerce. 1-800-GO-MUSKY. While you are here, be sure to stop by our little log
cabin on Hwy M for personal service from our smiling staff. We are open and here
for you year-round.
