It rarely makes sense to repair an old iPad, because the cost of the repair will almost always exceed the cost of a replacement unit with the same or even enhanced features. But an outdated iPhone 5 or 6 that only needs a new battery will serve its intended purpose for less than $60 and not require the user to adapt to a new piece of equipment, he explains. “We help customers make the choice that best suits them,” Lundquist said. Experimax in Orland has a network of experts who can be contacted for parts and information on the more esoteric repair challenges. “While we’re a relatively small player in a world full of giants, we use our size as an advantage,” Lundquist said. “Little guys have to be more flexible and offer more options, like financing. And appointments are not necessary at Experimax. You’ll never have to wait, sitting in line, for service.” The store offers a sevenday, “no questions asked” return policy, and a full one-year limited warranty on qualifying machines and devices. “We believe that outstanding customer service is what everyone should provide, and we strive to be better than outstanding,” Lundquist said. The proof of that is in the feedback he and his staff have received from customers. “They see that we’re interested in gaining customers, not just one-time sales,” he added. “Take a look at our reviews, and you’ll see the level of satisfaction we’ve brought to our customers.” “We don’t automatically recommend the most expensive device, and if we can make a balky iPad or iPhone run simply by cleaning out the power ports, we won’t charge for re-building the phone/ iPad. If the problem can be fixed in five minutes, we often don’t charge at all.” For the holiday season, Experimax is offering a variety of promotions featuring “Every Friday is Black Friday” throughout the holiday shopping season.
