We support our clients through reviewing the options and the decisionmaking process, so they are confident they have a plan that’s fit for them. Also, we help clients navigate how they financially support both down as well as up the generations and the increasing desire to consider the impact beyond tomorrow, investing sustainably in a legacy for those generations yet to come. you clearly do a lot with the local community. Why is this so important to you? Life is not all about making money! As a locally based business that employs local people we believe we should all support each other and we are delighted to help and support small local charities, events and surrounding projects which benefit all in our community. Tell us about your work with the Tongole Foundation and what do you do with them? The Tongole Foundation is something I am very proud to be involved with. It was created by myself and friend and business colleague David Gridley, in memory of my daughter’s boyfriend who was killed in a tragic accident on his way home from football training in Cranbrook, Kent, in 2007. The foundation was set up to help support children in Malawi, (see photo below) where he originally came from. Sadly, many children in that part of the world do not have the facilities or the opportunities our children benefit from here in the UK. Their schools lack funding for even the basics, such as chalk, paper or pens, and more often than not, there is no shelter to protect pupils and teachers from the sun or rain. By the time we finish our work building and restoring classrooms and ancillary buildings, the children have all of the above, plus the chance for a better future. Education is the most sustainable way for them to work their way out of poverty, which in the long-term benefits them, their families and their community.
