TRAIN CHURCH PLANTERS
Kojo
The trainees entered their classroom for the week. Some felt
confident, but many were hesitant, unsure of what this training
would hold.
“I was afraid of evangelism,” said Kojo, one of the trainees. “I was
not excited about church planting at all.”
But by the end of the second day, everything had changed for
Kojo. He wanted to go plant churches right away.
The trainees received a variety of tools to help in the churchplanting
process. The group learned about a “Person of Peace”
(Luke 10:6) whom they can look for in each place they visit,
someone who can help build trust between the villagers and the
missionary.
After the training, Kojo went to a neighboring village to look for
a person of peace. He met a man who helped him strategically
meet and build relationships with people. After showing the
JESUS film to the village, 27 people came to Christ. They started
a small Bible study group and are already discussing ways to
plant a second-generation church in another location! Kojo’s
excitement and passion to reach communities with church
planting is contagious.
