DAY 2•OZARK MOUNTAINS/THE OLD

The beautiful Ozark Mountain scenery will entice you

as you travel today. A photo op at the Old Mill (from

"Gone with the Wind") will delight you. Drive the

Mississippi Delta region and see low lands created

by years of flooding of the Mississippi River offering

fertile farmlands for plantations and farmers. Overnight

DAY 3•VICKSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK &

CITY TOUR/NATCHEZ, MS/DINNER AT GLENFIELD

Vicksburg National Military Park and Battlefield is

one battlefield where so many lives were laid down

for the War Between the States. See the battlefield

and city with your step-on guide. Natchez, Mississippi

beckons during this beautiful spring season. Natchez

is known for its splendor during the Civil War Era and

large array of antebellum homes. Tonight’s treat is a

special dinner at Glenfield Plantation – a home that has

been in one family for seven generations. Overnight

DAY 4•FROGMORE COTTON PLANTATION/

NEW ORLEANS COOKING SCHOOL (B, L, D)

Frogmore Cotton Plantation will compare work on an

1800s cotton plantation with slaves vs. today’s modern

cotton farms. Encounter the “city that care forgot”- New

Orleans. Absorb the sights and sounds of the famous

French Quarter as our home for 3 nights is the historic

“Hotel Provincial” –an open-air courtyard hotel in

the French Quarter. This evening we discover the fun,

flares, and flavors of cooking Louisiana-style at a New

Orleans Cooking School. After we learn step-by-step

preparation of a Creole/Cajun menu a full meal is

served – so bring your appetite! (Special note: New

Orleans is an old historic city and walking is required

DAY 6•SWAMP TOUR/WWII MUSEUM/DINNER

You are off to an adventure in the swamplands of

Louisiana. See alligators and swamp life up close in

the comfort of a pontoon boat, with a native expert

guide. A visit to the World War II Museum is a must.

a lesson on shrimping. Taste a southern tradition with a

shrimp boil for lunch. Enjoy a tour of Beauvoir Mansion,

the southern home of Jefferson Davis, the south’s

president during the Civil War. Enjoy your beachfront

DAY 8•ELVIS PRESLEY BIRTH HOME (B, D)

Tupelo is in your path; stop at the humble beginnings of

Elvis Presley’s birth home, church and museum. A dinner

DAY 9•GRACELAND (B, LD)

Since you are in “Elvis Country” visit Graceland, the

home of Elvis Presley. This one-of-a-kind experience

will take you on Elvis’s fascinating journey to

superstardom through exciting videos, displays of

amazing showcase of Elvis’s gold and platinum awards

DAY 10•TRAVEL HOME (B)

After breakfast, begin your journey home. Take a

few minutes at Warm Springs Ranch, home of the
