JFS ALUMNI UPDATE
Congratulations to both Alex Dombrandt and Kieran
Treadwell who are both having excellent seasons at
Harlequins and Ulster respectively.
Alex continues to hit the headlines for his superb
performances in the Premiership with his name being touted
as a potential success to Billy V in the England No. 8 position!
Kieran was desperatley unlucky not to be selected in the
recent Ireland training squad but continues to start for
Ulster. In the most recent match between the two clubs,
Kieran came out on top but both should be very proud of
their performance.
Please support old boy James Taylor with his new project- a
community Saffron Farm. He is using crowdfunding to grow
his project and any help is gratefully received.

Well I have found an obituary notice for an Old Boy who used to have a desk at my right-hand side,
Kenneth Hugh Fea - we both left for university education in 1952 - he chose to study Astronomy, and
soon took positions such as at the London Planetarium - I visited his family in June1969 in London (on my
way to Turkey for two months - it turned out he was in hospital at the time) - he decided to emigrate to
New Zealand, saying there were fewer astronomers based in the Southern Hemisphere - and from on-line
tracking I found he passed at George Manning Lifecare in Christchurch New Zealand on Thursday March
21st, 2019 at 85, husband of the late Joan Bowman Williams, companion of the late Elizabeth Purvis, and
father of Nadine, Brett, Dane, Craig, Roxanne, Nyree and Kirrily. This was easy to track on-line because of
his unusual name.

Well done to Marine Dominic Graham who has passed his
French test with very high scores, meaning he is now an
official Royal Marine interpreter. We wish him well as he
continues his studies towards officer training.
