DIGITAL
SAFETY
What is the digital safety ?
• Digital safety is that a person takes measures to ensure
his/her own security in a virtual environment.
• As the number internet users continue to grow
worldwide, internet safety is growing concern for both
children and adults.
Rules For Using The Internet Safely
1. Keep Personal Information Professional and Limited
2. Keep Your Privacy Settings On
3. Practice Safe Browsing
4. Make Sure Your Internet Connection is Secure. Use a
Secure VPN Connection
5. Be Careful What You Download
6. Be Careful Who You Meet Online
7. Choose Strong Passwords
How to be safety on the internet ?
Make sure that you choose a hard password. Password that are easy to
guess and those that are used by a lunch of people don’t keep your
account secured and that’s why they are easy to hack.
Don’t tell your password to anybody . If their know your password they
are most likely to use it and that doesn’t mean anything good for you.
Don’t use same password for all your accounts. If password for one of
your accounts is discovered, smart hackers will use it again and again until
they know have access to and your accounts.
If I became a victim of a hacker ;
I would tell about it to all of my friends so they can make sure that them
accounts are safe and for them to know that I’m not the one who
controls the account anymore.
Try to recover and change your password as soon as possible. If the
hacker doesn’t have a lot of time with your account, he won’t steal a lot
of important information.
According to the traditional advice—which is still good—a
strong password:
●
●
Has 12 Characters, Minimum: You need to choose a password
that’s long enough. There’s no minimum password length
everyone agrees on, but you should generally go for passwords
that are a minimum of 12 to 14 characters in length. A longer
password would be even better.
Includes Numbers, Symbols, Capital Letters, and Lower-Case
Letters: Use a mix of different types of characters to make the
password harder to crack.
●
●
Isn’t a Dictionary Word or Combination of Dictionary Words:
Stay away from obvious dictionary words and combinations of
dictionary words. Any word on its own is bad. Any combination of
a few words, especially if they’re obvious, is also bad. For example,
“house” is a terrible password. “Red house” is also very bad.
Doesn’t Rely on Obvious Substitutions: Don’t use common
substitutions, either — for example, “H0use” isn’t strong just
because you’ve replaced an o with a 0. That’s just obvious.

Password safety
İf yåouÈ arµe on of tÃhme vÞipctÃipms» ,
what will you do?
Step 1- Make an announcement
You should say people that your account is stolen. You can do this in that
social media account, another account or your family and friends’ accounts.
Step 2-Write a massage to the page administrator
You should ask for help from a friend who has enough information about it or
you should ask for help for the social media platform authorities you use
Maybe you should make a research about this situation.
Step-3 Wait for help or reply
You can’t do anything else. You should be calm and wait for response.
Do you know what we need to
do to avoid this situation?
Step-1 Create a strong password
Don’t use predictable passwords like “12345” or “password”
Don’t use same password at different social media platforms
Don’t use your personal information as password
If your password is hard, you account will be safe
Step-2 Be careful what you share on your accounts
Don’t share your personal information like birth day, address, your parents
name etc.
Be careful while you are talking with strangers because they can learn about
you and your life and it can be dangerous for your account safety
Thank for attention!
