1995 BENN GANN In April, Ben changed jobs and joined <strong>the</strong> American Chemistry Council as a Director in <strong>the</strong> Chemical Products and Technology Division in its Washington, D.C. office. In addition, he is now engaged and plans to marry his fiancé Courtney O’Keefe next summer. 1999 1 | BRAD STINSON Brad and his family just bought a house! He also started his Culture & Leadership Consulting Firm four years ago, during which his family sacrificed in ordered for him to follow his purpose and grow <strong>the</strong> business. The Lord has been so faithful in leading <strong>the</strong>ir lives <strong>the</strong>se past four years and <strong>the</strong>y have so many stories of God showing up in <strong>the</strong>ir lives. They are humble and grateful for this season. Ephesians 3:20 2 | ELIZABETH (BETSY) CROSWELL It has been such a busy year cheering on <strong>the</strong> CHCA <strong>Eagles</strong> and Betsy’s 9-year-old son, Hunter, through football, basketball, and lacrosse. She looks forward to watching <strong>the</strong> 4th grade boys bring home ano<strong>the</strong>r undefeated football season! Go <strong>Eagles</strong>! 2000 3 |SARA MOORE WAGNER Sara recently won a Sustainable Arts Foundation Award for her poetry. This award is given to support artists annually, and she was chosen from a pool of 1100 applicants! She trains with some of <strong>the</strong> best professionals in <strong>the</strong> business at Emerald City Trapeze Arts. 2002 5 | ERIN TATE SCHMERR Erin (Tate) Schmerr married Daniel Schmerr in 2011. They welcomed <strong>the</strong>ir first child, Adela, on June 21, 2017. In October of <strong>2018</strong>, <strong>the</strong>y opened Sonder Brewing (located in Mason, Ohio) with three o<strong>the</strong>r families. Sonder is a 30 barrel brew house in a 19,000 square foot building located on 6.5 acres near Procter & Gamble. 2003 6 | DENIS BEAUSEJOUR Robynne and Denis are living in Hoffman Estates, a suburb of Chicago. They have two boys: Den (2.5) and Julien (8 mo). Denis left FedEx about three years ago and has been working for O.C. Tanner. Robynne is a special ed teacher at Barrington but is taking an extended maternity leave to be home with <strong>the</strong> kids. They try to make it back to Cincy as often as <strong>the</strong>y can! 2004 7 | SAL CHURI This year, Salen moved down to Austin, Texas to launch a venture capital fund, Trust Ventures, which invests in startups in heavily regulated industries, and married his now-wife Lauren. JOSH BAKER Josh lives in Indianapolis with his wife and daughter. After cooking in several restaurants around Indy, he now runs <strong>the</strong> kitchen at <strong>the</strong> newly opened Jailbird. He loves making cooking fun again. When he’s not working seven days a week, he likes to fish and go hiking with his wife. 2005 LAUREN DAVIES JESTER Back in 2015, Lauren decided to pursue one of her dreams to become an entrepreneur. She chose to open up a Smoothie King location, which is a concept she fell in love with when she worked at a Cincinnati location while attending CHCA. She’s been very blessed with success at her store, but <strong>the</strong> greatest blessing it brought her was being <strong>the</strong> place where she met her husband Josh in 2016. Josh is a Lieutenant on <strong>the</strong> fire department in <strong>the</strong>ir local community in Granger, IN. Things haven’t slowed down since <strong>the</strong>n and she wouldn’t change a thing. They were married in ‘17, blessed with triplets in ‘18, and just built a new forever home in ‘19. Also this year Lauren was honored to be named a member of <strong>the</strong> Smoothie King King’s Club, being in <strong>the</strong> top 10% of gross sales nationwide. 2006 ALUMNI NOTES 8 | SARA DURHAM NELSON Sara and her fiancé Paul wed on September 1, <strong>2019</strong> in Louisville, KY. They have a lovely shotgun home in Louisville’s Germantown neighborhood. They adopted <strong>the</strong>ir sweet puppy Elouise last August from a shelter and she recently celebrated her first birthday. Sara is celebrating two years working with Humana Military this July and recently received a promotion to Senior Communications Professional. She is a Mentor with <strong>the</strong> Big Bro<strong>the</strong>rs Big Sisters School-To-Work Program. She is also <strong>the</strong> Volunteer Coordinator for Dancing Well: The Soldier Project, a non-profit organization that brings <strong>the</strong> healing power of music, dance and community to veterans and loved ones suffering from Post Traumatic Stress or Traumatic Brain Injury. She also volunteers on various committees within Humana, <strong>including</strong> SALUTE!, <strong>the</strong> veterans network resource group, and <strong>the</strong> Metro United Way and Fund for <strong>the</strong> Arts associate fundraising campaigns. She and Paul are members of Tomorrow’s Leaders, <strong>the</strong> National Young Professionals Organization for <strong>the</strong> Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Sara was recently selected to be <strong>the</strong> “voice” of Humana Military’s new IVR (Interactive Voice Response) phone system and started a podcast with a fellow associate, called “Humana Military Roll Call”. It’s a short-form informational podcast for Humana’s internal radio station. Their goal is to help provide awareness and education around Humana Military to <strong>the</strong> larger Humana associate population. 9 | JAMIE HUXTABLE SWIGERT Jamie is involved in <strong>the</strong> women’s ministry leadership team at LifeHouse Church in Lebanon, OH. Their goal is to connect all women to o<strong>the</strong>r women in <strong>the</strong> church, through Christ. She enjoys volunteering at both her church & at Camp Chautauqua in Miamisburg where her husband is <strong>the</strong> Executive Director (and leads CHCA‘s faculty and staff retreat!). Their son is in Kindergarten this fall & <strong>the</strong>ir daughter is in pre-school. Her oldest step son got married in March & her o<strong>the</strong>r o<strong>the</strong>r step son is going into <strong>the</strong> US Navy! They like to spend lots of time at <strong>the</strong> park, pool, or exploring new places! God has richly blessed <strong>the</strong>m and <strong>the</strong>y are so thankful!
