CAMILLE

SERME

NO.5

The only Frenchwoman ever to win the British Open (2015), U.S. Open (2016)

and Tournament of Champions (2017), Camille Serme’s progression over the

past few years has seen her transform into one the most dangerous players on

the circuit.

With a go-to backhand drop that rarely falters and a potent blend of pace,

fitness and finesse, Serme has all the ingredients required to be a champion

along with one of the most engaging and charming personalities in the sport.

Serme enjoyed a solid and successful 2019 reaching the semis of the

2018/2019 World Championship, DPD Open, El Gouna International, Oracle

NetSuite Open and US Open, while reaching one step further as the finalist at

both the British Open and World Tour Finals…and then emerging as Champion

on home soil at the 2019 French Open in Nantes!

The Creteil-based player won a Gold Medal at the 2017 World Games in

Wroclaw, Poland, and will be hoping to rekindle her title-challenging form on

the PSA World Tour this week at the ToC, still one of the biggest wins so far of

her career.

Camille broke into the top ten in 2010 and was named PSA’s 2016/2017

Women’s Player of the Year. The charming French National Team leader is

interested off court in cinema and photography.

JOELLE

KING

09/30/88

Joelle King was making a slow, steady and talent-expected comeback from a

serious Achilles injury in 2014, reaching later rounds and moving back in to the

top eight in the world rankings, until she unleashed her full potential at the 2018

Hong Kong Open, one of the world’s premier events, and won it.

She didn’t just win it, she crushed it. The tall, affable Kiwi beat world stars

Raneem El Welily, Sarah Jane Perry and Nour El Tayeb 3-0 in the last

three rounds.

One of the most relaxed characters on the Women’s Tour, King’s lengthy journey

back to full fitness appeared complete two seasons ago when she won two Gold

medals at the Commonwealth Games and reached a major tournament final at

the 2018 Windy City Open. Ranked No. 4 back in 2014, the Hong Kong result

propelled her back into the top group, a perch she justified in 2019 by reaching

the semifinals respectively of the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions and

Black Ball Open in Cairo and winning the $75,000 Manchester Open.

The 31-year-old relocated from New Zealand to England to work with coach

Hadrian Stiff and the results have paid off. Joelle enjoys interior design and time

with her family and her dogs.
