Precocious Peruvian Diego Elias is knocking on the door of the top echelons of

the PSA World Tour rankings. He has not yet made the jump to major Champion,

the first Peruvian to win a PSA World Tour title.Three months later he claimed

the distinction of becoming the first Peruvian to become the World Junior

Champion and without the loss of a single game.

More recently, Elias made it into the semis of the Channel VAS Championships

in 2018, before reaching the same stage at the Platinum-level Qatar Classic. He

finished runner-up to Karim Abdel Gawad in the Pakistan Open, before losing to

Mohamed Abouelghar in the final of the Motor City Open at the start of 2019.

Elias highlighted his 2018-2019 season by defeating top seed Paul Coll in an epic

98-minute final of the $75,000 Canada Cup in Toronto.

The tall, charismatic squash star is a favorite among his peers and enjoys the

social life at all Tour stops, making him a fan and promoter favorite.
