To Our Community
The Home Builders Association, its members and the HBA Charitiable Foundation (HBACF) are naturally community minded. We strive
to not only make quality housing affordable now and in the future, but we want people to remain safe in their homes as well. Below
are a few of the areas that we have been involved in for the betterment of our community. Learn more at HBACF.org and on page 63
Working smoke alarms are proven life-savers and are the most efficient, effective and cost-effective method
to prevent fire deaths and loss of property. In recognition of Fire Prevention Month (October) the HBA, HBACF
and four members below donate smoke alarms to area fire departments. A special thank you to these HBA
Members and the HBACF for working together on this great cause. Watch for more on our HBA Facebook

St. Jude Dream Homes have been built in the greater Springfield area since
2005 and have raised more than $8,800,000 to help fund cancer research. As an
organization, the HBA is proud to have played a small role in this achievement.
To date, all area St. Jude Dream Home Builders have been HBA Members while
building the St. Jude Dream Home. This tradition continues in 2020 with Scott Reid
of Reid Homes, Inc.
Did you know builders of St. Jude Dream Homes completely donate their time?
That’s right – the builder doesn’t get paid anything for their efforts in building the St. Jude
Dream Home. So, if you happen to run into a St. Jude Dream Home builder, please thank
them for their commitment to help find cures for cancer.
