Secret Garden
The Secret Garden is a captivating
and elegant country wedding venue.
Set against the peaceful backdrop of
rural Kent, on the beautiful Mersham
Le Hatch Estate near Ashford, the Secret
Garden is a truly magical place to say
‘I do’. With a selection of absolutely
stunning inside and outside ceremony
locations to choose from, this really
does offer something for everyone.
Roaring evening receptions feature
live music and a fully stocked bar!
Reception areas include the Victorian
Coach House with its wonderful beamed
ceiling, French doors that open on to
a south facing undercover terrace and
views over the gardens. For smaller
vintage-styled wedding parties, the
uniquely beautiful Glass House provides
a relaxed and stylish backdrop to the day.
The Secret Garden is renowned for
beautiful gardens, award-winning locally
sourced and freshly made food as well as
first class service. The team will go above
and beyond to make your day totally
unique and our dedicated
wedding and events
team will be on hand
to assist you with every
step of your planning.
Can you actually get
married here? “Yes,
we have three beautiful
ceremony spaces here that
are all fully licensed for
legal wedding ceremonies.”
How many guests can be seated? “From
as little as just two (bride and groom) all
the way up to wedding ceremonies and
meals for 100 guests. In the evening we
can comfortably accommodate up to 150
wedding guests here on site.”
Is there accommodation? “We don’t
have accommodation here on site but we
have an amazing list of recommended
suppliers with whom we work closely,
including accommodation in the local
area to suit all tastes and budgets.”
Is the venue exclusive for one wedding
party? “We never ever host more than
one wedding at a time. We can also offer
the exclusive hire of the venue meaning
wedding parties can have the gardens and
the use of the buildings all to themselves
to add a real sense of magic to the day.”
Are there great photo opportunities?
“The Secret Garden has some of
the most beautiful surroundings of
any wedding venue in the UK. We
have an absolutely stunning garden
(hence the name) as well as some
beautifully restored buildings and
inside spaces that are second-tonone
for wedding photography.”
