Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste,
how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for
anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot
be hid. 15 No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the
bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in

AMERICANS in 2013? According to American Cancer Society 176,620. (94,540 men) (82,080 women)
Cancer is the second leading cause of death for African Americans.
African Americans have the highest death rate and shortest survival rate of any other ethnic group in the
United States for most cancers.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP YOURSELF AND OTHERS?
Put a plan in place for a healthy lifestyle-talk with your Doctor, schedule mammograms, colorectal
screenings, Pap tests, HPV Vaccinations or PSA (prostate specific antigen) tests for men.

Congratulations
Today we end our fast. Thanks to all who were on the
journey. I know God was with us and I pray you heard His
voice. Continue to Pray, listen and build a deeper
relationship.
Avoid breaking your fast with a
meal that is high in carbohydrates;
stick to low-carb, high-fat meals.
Avoid meals that surge insulin and
blood sugar. Stay hydrated and
move slowly back into your routine.
Give honor and praise to God for all he has done and expect
great things.
