Greenslate Community Farm in Orrell will hold a
monthly Farmers’ Market packed with local produce
and delicious food.
Beginning on Saturday, March 8, the market will
take place on the second Sunday of the month from
11am-3pm. Since the closure of the nearby Rainford
Farmers’ Market, Greenslate saw the need for a
permanent event in Orrell, to help support the local
economy and environment.
If you’d like to get involved with a stall, email

Midnight Stroll
Want to be part of something life changing? Why not
take part in the Manchester Midnight Walk this April?
Your efforts will help to raise essential funds for St.
Ann’s Hospice, which provides care and support for
people living with life-limiting illnesses.
The 10km sponsored walk is a lot more than just a
walk - you’ll weave through Manchester city centre
under the cover of the stars, beginning with a fun
disco at 9pm. Fancy dress is welcome, and your
entry fee of £21 per adult or £11 per young person
(under-17) will include a t-shirt and medal.
The walk takes place on Friday, April 24 from 9pm.
