Students learnabout construction and construction careers. Studentsdemonstrate responsibility for personal, occupationalsafety on the job site and have the opportunity to obtainOSHA cards certifying their competence.UC/CSUMULTI-CRAFT CORE CURRICULUM:BUILDING SCALED STRUCTURES (UC)2 SemestersThis course has been, developed to integrate skills andconcepts from the Building and Construction Tradeswith applied mathematics and English. As a naturalprogression, students will apply the craft skills requiredto design and build a variety of scaled structures thatmeet current code requirements. This course providesstudents the opportunity to apply academic knowledgeand technical skills through a hands-on curriculum thatmeets pre-apprenticeship requirements for the NationalBuilding Trades Council.
