round of sixteen games turns with the round of sixteen 10/11th and 17/18th
Liverpool v Athletico Madrid on the 11th could be an epic the Spaniards played
brilliantly at home will they be able to do the same at Anfield ?
The new season starts with the Australian Grand Prix 13-15th and the following
week moves on to Bahrain 20-22nd can Lewis Hamilton land yet another
championship?
The Six Nations comes to its climax on the weekend of 7/8 March pick of which
should be England v Wales on Saturday and then the grand finale on 14th if
everything goes down to the wire the ultimate game France v Ireland could be a
chance for Les Bleus to land their first championship in a long time in terms of the
rugby they have played thus far they would thoroughly deserve it.
The climax of the Womens t20 world cup it reaches its final on 8 March. England
men have a two match test series in Sri Lanka a notoriously tricky place to get
results starting on 19th and 27th.
The biggest event in the National Hunt calendar the Cheltenham Festival from
Tuesday 10th until Friday 13th the two big races the Champion Hurdle on the 10th
could fall to the Nicky Henderson trained Epatante though the Gordon Elliott runner
Coeur Sublime at around 20/1 will carry my money. On Friday the Gold Cup is a
vintage renewal the forgotten horse in the line up is Monalee available currently at
25/1 which looks way too big.
TTwo of the big one week races Paris-Nice starts on the 8th and starting on the
11th Tirrano-Adriatico these two events show who is on his metal early season. On
21st possibly the hardest one day race on the calendar Milano-San Remo having
holidayed around the finish area the hills are unbelieveable to drive around let
alone cycle up and down them.
