Centenary Celebrations
One hundred years ago, Manor House
School, now in Little Bookham, Surrey,
began as two small classrooms in
Sidmouth, Devon. The private day school
for girls relocated to Little Bookham
in 1937 and has been based there ever
since. It now houses one of the best
co-educational Nursery Schools in the
area, rated 10/10 by parent testimonials,
as well as a nurturing Prep School and
thriving Senior School for girls.
This September will see Manor
House School celebrate their milestone
anniversary and the centenary will
be marked with a calendar of events
throughout the academic year, starting
with a ‘Centenary Heritage Picnic’ on
Saturday 12 September. The event will
be open to the public and will include
tours of the school and grounds, live
music, stalls themed to different decades,
games on the lawn, cream teas and an
extensive display of photo archives.

Frewen College is delighted to have
a record number of Sixth Form
students applying to UCAS this year
for university places. In fact, 71% of
Sixth Form students leaving Frewen
in 2020 have applied to study at
university with a range of courses
from History & Politics to Film
Making and Sports Therapy, which
is way above the national average.

An Inspector Calls
King’s Rochester is celebrating excellent
inspection results. When the Independent
Schools Inspectorate (ISI) team carried
out their rigorous routine inspection of
standards at King’s Rochester at the end of
January, their conclusions were summed
up in one word: EXCELLENT!
