The Doorsteppa 15 COMMUNITY Following a spate of crime in Killamarsh, the Killamarsh Village Watch along with the Safer Neighbourhood team and the Neighbourhood watch co-ordinator, are trying to make the whole of Killamarsh a ‘Watch’ area. Currently there is no Neighbourhood watch on many roads. If you feel you would like to be involved please contact us via our Facebook: Killamarsh Village Watch, Telephone 0300 3020 941 or Website: www.killamarsh-nhw.org.uk for more information about how you can help. Being part of Killamarsh watch can be as simple or as involved as you like. Watch members can simply choose to be a nominated person on their road as a contact for the Safer Neighbourhood team or be involved with setting up a group of neighbours who wish to be part of the Neighbourhood Watch scheme. New free Advice and Support service at Killamarsh Methodist Church! Killamarsh Methodist Church is now open every Mondays and Fridays between 10am – 1pm for free benefit advice and support, free debt advice and advocacy, free housing advice and free professional psychotherapy counselling sessions. There’s an exciting music event happening in Killamarsh on Saturday May 9th and we want you to come along! Killamarsh Methodist Church is hosting OneSound at St Giles Church Hall on Sheepcote road, Killamarsh from 7pm. It promises to be a fantastic evening full of great music. particularly as some of the church’s young people are members, and it will be a great opportunity to show Killamarsh and surrounding villages what OneSound does and to bring some live entertainment to the area for one evening only! The evening is open to all; young and old, tall and short who want to have a great evening out in their local area. We hope to see you there! But who are OneSound? OneSound are a national Christian choir who lead gigs around the country. Members come together for a weekend to rehearse throughout the weekend and then show the audience what they have rehearsed on a Saturday night event which is open to all. Several of OneSound’s members are from Killamarsh and have grown up locally! Those members are also part of ReThink:Worship who lead an evening event once a month in the village and have been coming to OneSound for several years. It is a great privilege for OneSound to be hosted by Killamarsh Methodist, If you think you would like to come along to OneSound’s worship evening then tickets are on sale now online via www.onesound.org.uk/sheffield.
