The Showroom Derby Road
Many Doorsteppa readers will be
familiar with The Showroom By Paul
Webster, a local business with a runaway
success story. Until very recently, the
experienced team were based across
two sites at Bolsover and Derby Road
and they have now taken the exciting
decision to significantly expand at
Derby Road, basing their operations
there, giving customers access to a
larger showroom, showcasing the latest
kitchens and bathrooms available in the
UK, including Kessler kitchens and Union
bathrooms exclusively in the area.
We went along to visit the team to
check out the kitchens and bathrooms
on show and to find out more about
their exciting plans for the future.
The Showroom was opened by Paul and
Lesley Webster in Bolsover in 2017 and
remains family run. With a combined
50 plus years in the industry, they got
started with this venture just the two of
them and now already have a team of 9
staff.
During this remarkable growth in just 3
short years, the time has flown and
Lesley remembers fondly the day she
put the first tile up in the Bolsover
Showroom.
Many entrepreneurs describe their
business as their baby and this is no
different. For this baby though, the
early stages are flying! “Our journey
with The Showroom has been so
exciting and we have grown so quickly”
“While we couldn’t be happier with
where we are now in 2020, starting
your own business is a bit like having a
baby, and as with all those milestones
like learning to walk, or the first day of
school, you are of course overjoyed,
but with something so close to your
heart, there is that little tinge of
sadness at looking back fondly on the
earlier stages that are now gone.”
Thanks to the excellent service provided
from start to finish, and the warm
personal welcome still afforded to
every visitor, along with the availability
of original, quirky kitchens and
bathrooms, The Showroom soon took
to its feet and hit the ground running.
This led to reviews most new businesses
could only wish for (see below!).
With such success under their belts,
they purchased the land beside the
beautiful Derby Road Showroom and
leapt at the chance to make their
premises larger. A lot larger! An extra
3000 square foot of space will be added.
”As well as the current stunning
showroom, we have plans to display
even more kitchens and bathrooms and
for a larger tile studio. The expansion is
expected to be fully complete late
Summer 2020. Even more exciting news,
the space will enable us to provide
bedrooms – coming soon, watch this
space!”
While all this expansion is undoubtedly
keeping the team very busy, rest assured
The Showroom is very much open for
business, with a warm friendly welcome
as always. With free parking, superb
toilet facilities and for those with dogs
there is always a bowl of water close to
hand, it is certainly worth the trip for
anyone thinking of updating their home.
All their staff understand the importance
of any decision, and that the kitchen is
the heart of the home and a good
bathroom provides a place to relax and
unwind. Working tirelessly from first visit
to installation to provide customers with
their perfect dream space.
