14THIRD-PARTY FUNDRAISINGThe NorthEast Foundation is proud of the support it receives through its communityadvocates. In 2018, several local businesses, civic organizations, community groups,schools and individuals hosted third-party fundraising events and drives to benefit theNorthEast Foundation and our hospital, CHS NorthEast. Our third-party donations includeboth monetary and in-kind donations (goods and services) throughout the year.This year several new groups hosted events and drives to benefit our hospital. The studentsat China Grove Middle School hosted a Penny War for the Foundation collecting over $1,300in pennies for the Jeff Gordon Children’s Center. Two local restaurants (Nothing BundtCakes and Chick-fil-A) and Cabarrus Brewing Company donated a portion of sales back toNorthEast Foundation. In total, over $50,000 in monetary gifts and in-kind donations weregiven to the NorthEast Foundation to fund our mission.
$14,000 $10,000The annual "King of the Court" volleyball tournament,between our High Schools in Cabarrus County,raised $14,000 for Breast Health and Cancer Services.Top Gun Sports LLC - FightLike a Girl Softball Tournamentraised $10,000.15$8,473Strides for Stoke raised $8,473 forNeurosciences and our Cabarrus StrokeSupport Group.Hendrick Motorsports, Axalta Coating Systems and GoBaby Go! teamed up to build modified play vehicles for ouryoung patients.Jeff Gordon and his family gave gifts to patients in theChildren's Center and visited with staff around the holidays.
