Background
Successful project management is dependent
on both ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ skills. Everyone knows
that, but how often is it actually applied?
Among Skarbek clients there is a growing
realisation that training a few people in project
management methodology isn’t enough.
As well as the methodology, there needs to
be serious and considered investment in the
humanology – the understanding of how we
feel and respond in the way we do, our motivations
and behaviours, how we foster relationships
of trust and bring out the very best
in people. These are the keys to the doorway
of performance excellence.
In today’s complex world, essential project
management skills include the all-important
ability to lead without authority, manage
competing priorities, and make quick decisions
in order to continue working effectively
in a state of constant change – all this in geographically
dispersed teams. The Skarbek Project
Team Leader Programme equips project
managers with the very best methodology,
but also the smartest thinking in humanology
– a complete set of skills to be most effective.
Aim
To develop superb leadership capabilities for
Skarbek clients to outperform their competitors
