<strong>The</strong> Per<strong>for</strong>mance Trap<br />

Most of us are unaware how thoroughly Satan<br />

has deceived us. He has led us blindly down a<br />

path of destruction, captives of our inability to<br />

consistently meet our standards and slaves of low<br />

self-esteem. Satan has shackled us in chains that<br />

keep us from experiencing the love, freedom, and<br />

purposes of Christ.<br />

In Colossians 2:8, Paul warns,<br />

"See to it that no one takes you captive<br />

through philosophy and empty deception,<br />

according to the tradition of men, according<br />

to the elementary principles of<br />

the world, rather than according to<br />

Christ."<br />

Indeed, we've reached a true mark of maturity<br />

when we begin testing the deceitful thoughts of<br />
