A continuation to the #EgyptianDesignUnited initiative that
was born in April in collaboration with the Egyptian Fashion
& Design Council, as an initiative to create a platform that
supports our industry during the Covid-19 pandemic, this
summer issue is dedicated to Egyptian fashion, accessory
and jewelry designers. Initially presenting our talents on
the Designer Hub on our website, to use the downtime in
production and sales to grow brand awareness through the
surging online traffic, the initiative has seen growth in different
directions. So it was only natural that this issue also gives our
readers an introduction to the almost super talented 90
designers who also grace our cover. In the spirit of paying
tribute to design we also highlight international and Arab
emerging designers and their achievements, from the Dach
shoot that represents Austrian, German and Swiss talents, a
coverage of the fall/winter 19/20 edition of Alta Roma, the
leading fashion week for emerging designers, as well as a
look at the 5 winners of this year’s edition of Fashion Trust
Arabia. Of course a summer issue wouldn’t be complete
without some summer holiday wardrobe staple pieces,
gleaming jewels and must-have summer beauty products.
Last but not least I would also like to thank all our partners
who have shown support and agreed to place this
complimentary special issue in their hotels, boutiques, retail

استمرارًا لمبادرة EgyptianDesignUnited# التي بدأت في أبريل
بالتعاون مع مجلس األزياء والتصميم المصري،‏ كمبادرة إلنشاء
منصة لدعم صناعتنا خالل وباء كوفيد 19، نخصص هذا
العدد الصيفي لمصممي األزياء واالكسسوارات والمجوهرات
المصريين.‏ فنحن نقوم بشكل مبدئي بتقديم مواهبنا من خالل
‏»مركز المصممين«‏ على موقعنا على شبكة اإلنترنت،‏ الستغالل
وقت التوقف عن اإلنتاج والبيع لزيادة معرفة المستهلك
بالعالمات التجارية من خالل حركة المرور المتزايدة على اإلنترنت،‏
وقد شهدت المبادرة نموً‏ ا في عدة اتجاهات مختلفة.‏ لذلك كان
من الطبيعي أن يقدم هذا العدد أيضً‏ ا لقرائنا بعض المصممين
الموهوبين الذين يبلغ عددهم حوالي 90 مصمما موهوبا
يتصدرون غالفنا أيضً‏ ا.‏ وانطالقا من روح تقدير التصميم،‏ نسلط
الضوء أيضً‏ ا على المصممين الدوليين والعرب الناشئين
وإنجازاتهم من خالل جلسات تصوير داش التي تقوم بتقديم
عددا من المواهب النمساوية واأللمانية والسويسرية وتغطية
مجموعة خريف / شتاء 20/19 من Alta Roma وأسبوع الموضة
للمصممين الناشئين،‏ باإلضافة إلى إلقاء نظرة على الفائزين
الخمسة لهذا العام في مسابقة . Fashion Trust Arabia وبالطبع
ال يكتمل عدد الصيف بدون إلقاء الضوء على بعض قطع
المالبس األساسية لعطلة الصيف،‏ وكذلك قطع المجوهرات
المتألقة ومنتجات التجميل الصيفية الضرورية التي يجب أن
تكون لديك.‏
وأخيرًا وليس آخرًا،‏ أود أيضً‏ ا أن أشكر جميع شركائنا الذين أبدوا
دعمً‏ ا كبيرا ووافقوا على وضع هذا العدد الخاص المجاني في
