Tentative Bookings – We will only hold tentative bookings for a maximum of 7 days. The confirmation of your booking will only be recognized once the signed booking form & a paid deposit has been received by Townsville RSL. The signed booking form & payment must be received within 7 days of making a booking. Townsville RSL reserves the right to cancel any booking not confirmed after the 7 days without any notification or further correspondence. Quotation Information - Every Endeavour is made to maintain prices as quoted, however these prices may increase subject to market conditions. Prices charged for your function are those in effect three months prior to the function date. Quotations for functions are based on the understanding that should the number of guests attending your event decrease by more than 20% of the original number booked, an additional charge may apply or your function may be moved to a more suitably sized room as the discretion of Townsville RSL. Deposits - A deposit of the full cost of room hire is required within 7 days of booking. Hiring Conditions - The latest a room may be hired until is midnight and the hirer must vacate the room/s within 30 minutes of the event ending. Townsville RSL must be notified of all entertainment pertaining to your function. This includes the use of, but is not limited to: CD players/I-Pods/live musicians/DJ etc. Townsville RSL has the right to refuse entertainers who may be deemed unsuitable. Due to smoke detector sensitivities, no smoke machines are allowed. The signatory on the booking forms is the person financially responsible for any damage sustained to Townsville RSL and/or its property during the function. Management must be consulted before adhering decorations or signage to any wall, door or ceiling within the building. A completed floor plan must be given to Townsville RSL at least seven working days prior to the date of the function. Liability - Townsville RSL takes all the necessary care but accepts no responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of the property of the hirer or guests before, during & after the function. This includes all gifts, monies and decorations brought onto the premises. Townsville RSL will not ‘hold’ any gifts or monies overnight; these remain the responsibility of the hirer. Townsville RSL practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol policy. It is our aim to serve you & your guests with alcohol in a professional, friendly & responsible manner. It is the policy of this establishment not to allow intoxication, underage drinking, violent or abusive behaviour. It is expected that the hirer will conduct the function in an orderly manner and in compliance of the rules of Townsville RSL and the law. Confirmed Final Numbers – Confirmed final number of guests attending is required 10 days prior to your function. This number will be regarded as the final number for catering purposes and you will be charged accordingly, even if fewer guests attend the event. The addition of extra guests attending after this time will need to be paid for before the event. Payment of account – Full payment of account is required 7 days prior to your function. Additional liquor accounts are to be settled in full upon completion of your function. Payment can be made by cash, credit card (sorry Diners Cards not accepted), direct bank transfer, or by bank cheque (sorry personal cheques not accepted) Menu Selection – Final menu selections must be made 3 weeks (21 days) prior to your function. Special menu items are available on request and we are happy to cater for guests with special dietary requirements e.g. Vegetarian, Celiac and allergies. Food safety - Townsville RSL is fully licensed which prohibits the bringing of food and or beverages onto the premises with the exception of celebration cakes e.g. Wedding / birthday cakes. Health regulations state that no leftover food is to be taken by a client or guest from club premises. If by chance food is taken from the premises no responsibility will be taken by the Club or Club Management. 10 TOWNSVILLE RSL – WEDDING AND SPECIAL EVENTS PACKAGES Responsible Service of Alcohol – Due to licensing laws, no liquor can be brought onto the premises by any guest at any function. BYO facilities are not available however with prior notice we would be more that happy to order in any special requests. Townsville RSL Club enforces the Responsible Service of Alcohol and the Responsible Gaming laws. By law any person under the age of eighteen (18) years may not consume or purchase alcohol, or participate in any Gaming activity. The management of Townsville RSL Club reserves the right to – 1. Refuse service and remove from the premises any person believed to be intoxicated and 2. Close the bar and terminate a function if guests do not practice responsible service of alcohol. Public Holidays – A surcharge of 15% of the amount of your total account will be added for bookings on public holidays. Sunday functions incur a 10% surcharge. Smoking Policy – Smoking is not permitted inside the Club. Smoking is available in designated outside areas. Membership – All guests entering the Club must fall into one of the following categories: 1. Current members (membership card must be shown) 2. Temporary member (those who live outside 15km radius of the Club. Must shown residential ID and sign in) 3. Signed in by a member (a guest who resides within the 15km radius, who is not a member of the Club, must be signed in by a member) Note: This is State Government Legislation. Cancellation – Cancellation of your function must be notified in writing. Cancellation 1-3 months prior to function – you will be liable for 25% of the estimated final account based on what has been confirmed with the Function Manager. Cancellation less than 2-4 weeks prior to the event – you will be liable for 50% of the estimated final account based on what has been confirmed with the Function Manager. Cancellations 14 days prior to the event – you will be liable for full payment of the organized final account. Pack Down - All decorations to be removed from the premises at the immediate conclusion of the event or a pack-down charge will be enforced. Townsville RSL reserves the right to decline or cancel any function or booking I, have read and understood the above Terms and Conditions. I understand that this is a legally binding contract and I agree to be responsible for this booking and to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
