You may wish <strong>to</strong> add or delete items accord<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> your own circumstances.<br />

The checklists should be completed <strong>in</strong> consultation with the workers <strong>in</strong>volved.<br />

Accessibility and safety of premises checklist<br />

Please <strong>in</strong>dicate the appropriate response. A “No” answer means that the hazards should be assessed and control<br />

measures considered where the assessment <strong>in</strong>dicates it is necessary.<br />

and overgrown vegetation)?<br />

Is there a safety switch on the switchboard?<br />

Are doorways clear, free from obstruction<br />

and easy <strong>to</strong> open and close?<br />

Are there any hazards presented by pools,<br />

dams or other waterways?<br />

Inside the residence<br />

• floor surface (level and smooth)<br />

• access ways (level and uncluttered)<br />

Are smoke detec<strong>to</strong>rs fitted and appropriately<br />

situated?<br />

Are smoke detec<strong>to</strong>rs tested every three<br />
