ORS Austria – ‘Consolidation and change in Austria’Labour market integration beginsIn March, we launched ORS Integration withits own, separate location. The main focus ison vocational training and work placements.Initial contracts have already been agreed withprestigious retail companies and various smalland medium-sized trade and repair businesses,allowing people with a migration backgroundto develop career prospects. In 2019, we helpeda total of around 100 individuals find a place inthe labour market.Fall in asylum applications leadsto closuresThe decline in asylum applications forced ourpartners to reduce their capacities. The specialsupport facility in Graz and the distributioncentres in Innsbruck and Vienna were closed.Successful development programme forORS employeesWe are very proud of our 17 colleagues whosuccessfully completed the three-semester‘Asylum and Migration Support’ programmeat the University of Klagenfurt. They haveproven that it is possible to gain an academicqualification while working. As an employer,we encourage our workforce to participate incontinuing professional development. We firmlybelieve that this helps boost the quality of theservices we offer.ORS at the Vienna Migration ConferenceORS was the event partner of the ViennaMigration Conference for the second time in2019. The ICMPD’s (International Centre forMigration Policy Development) flagship eventbrings together high-profile international participantsto discuss challenging issues in the fieldof international refugee and migration policy.The event provides ORS with a perfect opportunityto showcase its long-standing, internationalexpertise. A delegation of our Group managementmembers attended the two-day conference.HACCP certification for our industrialkitchens renewedCatering is, of course, a central theme at ouraccommodation centres. We are delighted thatall four ORS industrial kitchens – in Traiskirchen,Bad Kreuzen, Fieberbrunn and Thalham – hadtheir HACCP certification renewed, demonstratingthat our catering facilities deliver thebest possible standards in terms of hygiene andquality.21
