ΦΑΡΑΓΓΙ ΜΑΖΙΑΣ

Eνα από τα πολλά ξεχωριστής ομορφιάς φαράγγια του Πάρνωνα που προσφέρει μοναδικές
εμπειρίες στον επισκέπτη και τον περιμένει να το ανακαλύψει. Το φαράγγι ξεκινά μετά την
Καστάνιτσα. Διασχίζεται από ρέμα και περιβάλλεται από πράσινο, κυρίως πλατάνια, αλλά και
από θεόρατα βράχια. Μέσω του φαραγγιού φτάνει κανείς στη μονή Κοντολινάς. Η διάβαση
είναι δύσκολη, αλλά η φύση αποζημιώνει με την ομορφιά της ενώ ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει
η περιοχή λόγω των πολλών βοτάνων, ενώ στη διάρκεια της διαδρομής βλέπει
κανείς πολλούς μισογκρεμισμένους νερόμυλους.

One of the many gorgeous gorges of Parnonas that offers unique experiences to the
visitor and is waiting for him to discover it. The gorge starts after Kastanitsa. It is crossed
by a stream and is surrounded by green, mainly plane trees, but also by theoretic rocks.
Through the gorge one reaches the monastery of Kontolina. The passage of the gorge
is difficult, but nature compensates with its beauty while the area is of particular interest
due to the many herbs, while along the way one sees many half-ruined watermills.

Aν και δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα μεγάλο διαθέτει υπέροχη φυσική ομορφιά. Για να φθάσει κανείς στο
φαράγγι έχει δύο επιλογές είτε από τα Κάτω Δολιανά είτε από τα Καστριτοχώρια. Διαθέτει δύο καταρράκτες,
τον μεγάλο 70 μέτρων και τον μικρό 45 μέτρων, που αφήνουν τον επισκέπτη εντυπωσιασμένο.
Εκτός από το φυσικό τοπίο ο περιπατητής μπορεί να θαυμάσει τα πολλά είδη χλωρίδας
και πανίδας που έτσι και αλλιώς αφθονούν στον Πάρνωνα. Μάλιστα λέγεται ότι μπορεί κανείς να
μετρήσει 80 είδη φυτών και βοτάνων. Eίναι κατάλληλο για extreme sports και για canyoning:
Για όσους θέλουν να δοκιμάσουν, διαθέτει δύο εντυπωσιακά ραπέλ (καταρράκτες), jump και
τσουλήθρες σε πεντακάθαρα νερά. Ώρες κατάβασης: 6. Απαιτείται πολύ καλή γνώση ραπέλ και
κολύμβησης, καθώς και πρότερη κατάβαση τουλάχιστον δύο τεχνικών φαραγγιών.

The Lepida Canyon although not very large, has wonderful natural beauty. To reach the
gorge you have two options either from Kato Doliana or from Kastritochoria. It has two
waterfalls, the large 70 meters and the small 45 meters, which leave the visitor impressed.
In addition to the natural landscape, the walker can admire the many species of flora and
fauna that abound in Parnon anyway. In fact, it is said that one can count 80 species of
plants and herbs. The gorge is suitable for extreme sports and for canyoning: For those
