The Marion/Grant County Convention
& Visitors Bureau is the destination
marketing organization for Grant
County. Our mission is to promote
the local tourism industry and
enhance visitors’ experiences
in order to maximize visitor
spending in Grant County. The
Visitors Bureau conducts a host
of marketing and media relations
programs to promote Grant
County businesses, attractions
and events. The Visitors Bureau
also participates in community
development programs to enhance the
quality of life in Grant County and make
the area appealing to visitors.

The tourism industry is vital to the local economy.
Visitor spending supports local businesses and jobs,
in addition to enhancing local quality of life. Popular
attractions and events include the James Dean
Trail, the Garfield Trail, the Quilters Hall of Fame, the
annual James Dean and Ducktail Run Car
Shows, the Hog Daze Motorcycle Rally,
the Jonesboro River Rally, Mississinewa
1812, and the Cumberland Covered
Bridge Festival in Matthews. Taylor
University and Indiana Wesleyan
University bring visitors to the area
for sporting events and graduation
ceremonies. Grant County’s convenient
location and visitor diversity makes the local tourism
industry a consistent and significant component of
the local economy.
