Marion General Hospital’s (MGH) Mission and Values are the foundation

our hospital but throughout the community. MGH is committed
to carry out our Mission and uphold our exemplary Values.
MGH is accredited by the Health Facilities
Accreditation Program (HFAP) and is Grant
County’s premier medical provider, with its main
hospital campus located at 441 North Wabash
Avenue in Marion and locations throughout
Grant County in Converse, Fairmount, Gas City,
Swayzee, and Upland.
MGH has a rich, 116-year history of providing
industry-leading and award-winning healthcare
to persons in Grant and surrounding counties.
MGH is a 99-bed, not-for-profit hospital which
features a wide variety of inpatient and
outpatient services. With a dedicated, qualified
and professional hospital and auxiliary staff of
more than 1,200, we are teamed with over 90
physicians from multiple specialties to meet the
needs of the community.
MAGNET DESIGNATED HOSPITAL
In 2017, MGH achieved Magnet re-designation
for Excellence in Nursing Services from the
American Nurses Credential Center’s (ANCC)
Magnet Recognition Program®. It is one of the
highest levels of Nursing recognition a hospital
can achieve.
Designation as a Magnet hospital places MGH in
a very select group of healthcare organizations,
both in Indiana and nationwide. MGH joins
approximately 8% of all hospitals in the nation
that have achieved Magnet recognition.
MGH departments include pediatrics,
cardiology (a non-invasive cardiovascular lab,
cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology
and interventional radiology labs),critical
care (a state-of-the-art 19-bed department),
medical/surgical and telemetry units and the
Family Birthing Center - all with private rooms.
Other hospital specialty areas are inpatient/
outpatient surgery and recovery,emergency
and Fast Track non-emergency services,
MGH Express Urgent Care,and an
ambulance department.
The hospital’s ancillary service departments
include laboratory, radiology, physical medicine
and rehabilitation, and respiratory care.
The MGH radiology department has three
locations, one located at the main hospital
campus and another at MGH’s South Marion
Medical Park (SMMP). Diagnostic x-ray is also
offered at Upland for patient convenience.
The Breast Imaging Center at SMMP
features 3D mammography, molecular
breast imaging (MBI), and Contrasted
Enhanced Spectral Mammography
(CESM). CESM and MBI are two cutting
edge technologies that give us more“tools
in our toolbox” for ensuring we are providing
thorough imaging for our patients with
dense breasts.
