Senior Housing Options

Amy House, a Certified Positive Approach to Care

Trainer, will answer senior housing questions: What are

the available senior living options beyond your own

home? What are Independent Living, Assisted

Living, and Memory Care Communities, and what are

the variations within each of these options? What

factors should be considered in selecting the “right”

option? How can I finance a senior living option? What

impact will my decisions have on my estate plan?

Normal vs. Not Normal Aging

Am I having a “senior moment,” or is this

something to be concerned about? Learn what a

senior moment truly is and when to be concerned

about the possibility of dementia. Amy House, a

Certified Positive Approach to Care Trainer, will

explain which symptoms mimic dementia and how

hearing loss affects those with possible dementia.

This class is open to all who are interested in

learning about aging and dementia.

Pickleball Clinic

We are excited to offer an “Introduction to

Pickleball” clinic weekend! Players of all skill levels who

are looking to improve their skills and get involved in this

great sport are welcome to participate. Goals for this

clinic are learning pickleball scoring, how to serve, the 2

bounce rule, and other fundamentals important to the

game. Instruction will be geared towards singles-play.

Nordic Walking

Anyone can do it! It takes a simple walk and turns it

into a full body workout, and it doesn’t feel like you are

working any harder. Increase your heart rate, burn

more calories, strengthen your upper body and create

resistance to build better bone density. Taught by a

Certified Nordic Walking Instructor. Equipment is

provided and will be sanitized before class.
